Popular for producing rich, warm tones, Heavy French Polish is a favourite amongst antique restorers and cabinet makers. Heavy French Polish is often used instead of a wood dye to recreate that amber, high gloss appearance so typical of many period antique finishes.

For over four generations, Fiddes have blended the finest natural Shellac to produce a range of French Polishes that have become internationally established throughout the fine woodworking and antique restoration market.
Fiddes offer a selection of different types of flake and powdered Shellac mixed to traditional, proven formulations that are suitable for both brush and rubber application.
A selection of ‘ Sprayable’ Shellac Polishes have also been formulated and are available on request.
Brush/Rubber. Fiddes Shellac Polishes are ideally suited for application on top of Fiddes complete range of Wood Stains, Dyes & Shellac Sealer. NB. Always finish with a coat of Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish or Mellow Wax Polish to further protect and enhance the natural beauty of your wood.
