Longer drying periods many occur during application in cold, damp or humid conditions.
Coat all areas thoroughly to seal. Refinish annually.

Preparation | Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish. Remove any fungal growth, dirt or moss on old wood prior to application, and ensure a preservative has been applied. Sand the substrate with a medium 120 grade sanding paper or 120 grade sanding disk, removing all traces of dust. |
Application | Apply in dry conditions. Always test on a small area prior to initial application. No primer required. Minimum 3 coats recommended. Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil is formulated for application directly, and does not require thinning. |
First Coat | Stir contents thoroughly before and during use. Apply using a good quality bristle or synthetic brush and apply EVENLY and THOROUGHLY, following the direction of the grain. Leave to dry 4-6 hours in warm, dry well ventilated conditions, or preferably overnight. Sand lightly with fine 320 grade sand paper. |
Second Coat | Apply as first coat, evenly, allowing good ventilation. Leave to dry 4-6 hours in warm, dry conditions, or preferably overnight. |
Third Coat | Apply as above. Clean applicators with White Spirit. |
Re application | To renovate previous application of Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil, lightly sand area with 150 grit sandpaper and re-apply |
